Event Description
'Safe Haven', In residency at Chelmsford Library, charts the story of Leslie Brent, one of the 10,000 children who travelled on the Kindertransport to find freedom from Nazi persecution in the UK, via the Essex port of Harwich and spending the freezing winter of 1938/9 at the nearby Warner's holiday camp in Dovercourt, anxiously awaiting their British foster families and news from home.
