Event Description

Debz Hobbs-Wyatt will talk about representing a diverse society through her fiction writing, for Black History Month as her novel If Crows Could Talk is released. This is an American mystery based around American Civil Rights. She will explore if writers should write outside their homeland and culture, the need for sensitivity and research and will use examples of novels in the library for the Black History Month.

She hopes for some engaging discussion and hopes that it will be attended by young adults as well as adults.
She will discuss the challenges of writing this novel as well as other diverse characters in her novel and short-story writing.
She will also set a couple of writing challenges to attendees.
