Create Your Own Superhero: Children's Creative Writing Workshop
Saturday 19 September 2026 at 10:30AM
Colchester Library
Event Description
Boom! Kapow! Wam! Superheroes might be movie stars now, but their origin story is in comic books. This fun hour-long workshop for writers aged 7 to 11 gives you the chance to create your very own superhero, plus a comic for them to star in. Ready to save the world?
This workshop is part of Colchester Library’s autumn creative writing programme for young writers. This series of workshops for writers aged 7 to 11 and 12 to 17 takes a fun, hands-on approach, led by creative writing tutor Daisy Jones.
Each session stands alone, so you can come to just one, or as many as you like. All materials are provided and no previous writing experience is required – just bring your imagination! All workshops are free, but places are limited and booking is essential.
