Would you love to write, but don’t know where to start? Join this relaxed 90 minute workshop for writers aged 12 to 17 that’s all about sparking ideas, growing your confidence, and getting the inspiration to beat writer’s block. Whether you’re a regular wordsmith or new to writing, you’ll leave with a notebook full of ideas – plus extra resources to take home and keep your creativity flowing. 

This workshop is part of Colchester Library’s autumn creative writing programme for young writers. This series of workshops for writers aged 7 to 11 and 12 to 17 takes a fun, hands-on approach, led by creative writing tutor Daisy Jones. 

 Each session stands alone, so you can come to just one, or as many as you like. All materials are provided and no previous writing experience is required – just bring your imagination! All workshops are free, but places are limited and booking is essential.
